Buffalo Turkey Burgers

Adapted from Rachael Ray’s 365: No repeats

Vegetable oil

1 package (1 1/3 pounds) ground turkey breast

1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Ground pepper

2 garlic cloves, chopped

5 scallions, finely sliced

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1/4 hot sauce

Buns (good ones!)

1 cup sour cream or Ranch dressing

1/2 cup blue or gorgonzola cheese crumbles

Lettuce

Directions

Turn a pan on over medium high heat.

Put about a tbsp of the vegetable oil in a bowl with the turkey, poultry seasoning, kosher salt, garlic powder, and season with pepper. Gently mix this all together and make 4 patties, about 1 inch thick.

Turn the exhaust fan on and sear the burgers and cook about 6 minutes on each side and then remove them from the pan.

Wipe the residual oils out of the pan (with the heat off) and then, over low heat, melt the butter and hot sauce together. Put the patties back in and coat them on both sides with the sauce.

Toast the buns and put the burgers on the buns.

Mix the sour cream and cheese in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper. Top the burgers with this sauce and some lettuce. Yummmmm
