This is one of my all time favorite recipes.
4 chicken legs (whole, not drumsticks)
4 chicken thighs
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 tbsp smoked/hot paprika
2 yellow onions cut in wedges
1 lb gnocchi
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and season with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper.
Heat oil in a large, oven-proof saucepan over medium high heat.
Add chicken skin-side down and cook until the chicken is crisp, about 5 minutes.
Turn the chicken and add broth, paprika, and onions.
Transfer to the oven and cook, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Add gnocchi and continue cooking until gnocchi are cooked through, about 25 minutes.
